Over the past 15 years great strides have been made in clearing landmines from Cambodian villages, roads, and jungles. Leftover landmines are still a problem in parts of the country today, but the work to eliminate them continues.
Click the video to follow me down a road near my house that was once a place with landmines, but is safe today. (The video was shot in June 2011).

Great seeing and hearing
you Travis! Hard to believe it was SO dangerous only 10 years ago! It is beautiful and very green! A beautiful and scary part of history that you are sharing with us! Be careful please! Love you! Hard to believe it is December 2!!!!!!!
Hi Travis
We are here in Siem Reap–arrived yesterday. Will you be doing the bicycle race tomorrow? Tomorrow morning we are planning to do some sightseeing (Baphuon, etc). If you are free in the afternoon and not too exhausted from the race we can meet for a mango shake. We can meet you here in Siem Reap or at the Puok market. We asked our tuk tuk driver and he mentionned that your town is 16km from Siem Reap which is pretty far to cycle. Please let us know what’s easiest for you. I noticed that there is a silk center in your town which I wouldn’t mind checking out.
We are staying at the Prince D’Angkor Hotel.
Very interesting history, Travis. That is a beautiful scene, now. I thoroughly enjoy just hearing your voice, seeing your face and listening to all your wisdom!
Love you!
Such a beautiful place. It is so hard to believe it was once such a scary and sad place. Thanks for sharing the sounds and sites with us! I am glad the road is safe now. Love, Kaki
I can totally picture you on the teevee…
