This is my favorite Cambodian treat. It’s a mixed fruit shake with lots of condensed milk. It’s called, “duk-kro-loark”.
My Aunt Cathy and Aunt Sandy will celebrate big birthdays before the end of 2011. So I figured I’d take them to the Puok Market for “duk-kro-loark” happy hour.
I eat a “duk-kro-loark” at least a couple times a week in Puok. The people at the stand know my order by heart and they also know me by name.
Usually the shake has the stinky fruit durian in it. But, the folks in the market know to make mine without durian.
And, each glass is only about 25-cents. So, Cathy and Sandy, the second round is on me too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both Sandy & Cathy! That drink actually looks pretty good!!! Enjoy!!
Love you!
It does look good. I hope you enjoy their birthdays.

Happy Birthday! I hope Norman was fun. Yeah, it’s more delicious than any shake I’ve ever had before. The fruit here cannot be compared to America. It’s really good. Saving one for you…
Looks like a peach Bellini – one of my favorite frozen drinks- Peach Schnapps and Champagne! Thanks for the special toast. Can’t believe another birthday is almost here. We will be in OKC at Dan Hopper’s wedding on my birthday. The wedding is going to be at the State Capital and the reception is going to be at the Oklahoma Heritage Museum. Should be different and lots of fun! Wish you were going to be here! We will be sure and have a toast to you for my birthday and a Happy New Year! Hugs and kisses. Love you. Kaki
Have fun, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I miss ya. And, this drink doesn’t have alcohol in it, but it’s delicious.
